Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Business Development Professional to join our growing consulting and staffing company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of connecting with clients, driving business growth, and establishing long-term relationships in the consulting and staffing industry. This role requires an individual who is strategic, results-oriented, and possesses exceptional communication and networking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, engage, and develop relationships with potential clients to generate new business opportunities. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met with exceptional service.
Develop and implement business development strategies to expand the company’s client base, focusing on high-potential markets and industries.
Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, industry trends, and competitive dynamics. Leverage insights to inform business development strategies and client engagement.
Prepare and present tailored proposals and presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the company’s capabilities, services, and value proposition.
Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with company goals and client expectations.
Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build and maintain a robust network of industry contacts.
Work closely with recruitment and account management teams to ensure client needs are understood and met, and to identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling services.
Track and report on business development activities, including lead generation, client meetings, proposals submitted, and contracts closed. Provide regular updates to senior management on progress towards business development goals.
Develop and implement strategies to maintain and grow existing client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.
Required Skillsets:
Minimum of 5-7 years of business development experience in the consulting and staffing industry, with a strong track record of connecting with and acquiring new clients.
Deep understanding of the consulting and staffing industry, including market trends, client needs, and competitive landscape.
Proven ability to develop and execute successful business development strategies, including lead generation, client engagement, and contract negotiation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and presentations.
Strong networking skills with a well-established network of industry contacts.
Skilled negotiator with the ability to secure favorable contracts and build long-term partnerships.
Ability to conduct market research and analyze data to inform business development strategies and decisions.
Experience working collaboratively with internal teams to deliver client-centric solutions.
Self-motivated and goal-driven, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed business development targets.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a senior business development role within a consulting or staffing firm.
Existing relationships with key decision-makers in target industries.
Proven success in building and leading a business development team.
